Strengthening Communities Strengthens Families held at the NC Rural Center on October 11, 2017 with 73 people attending. We heard from Brian Dabson from the University of North Carolina School of Government, Patrick Woodie, CEO of the NC Rural Center, and Victor Galloway from FDIC about the link between community financial health and household financial health. Carl Rist from Prosperity Now presented the 2017 North Carolina Assets and Opportunity Scorecard, and Susan Lupton from the Center for Responsible Lending provided an update on the recently issue rules on consumer lending from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Each attendee was provided with a copy of the book What It's Worth.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of Prosperity Now in making this event possible.
